Project for a house in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.

For decades this old structure has been abandoned and the initial project never finished. 

The intention now is to use this frame to create a new space. The future dwelling should have one bedroom, one bathroom and an open plan living room/kitchen. At the same time the place should be integrated with the adjacent old house that has been used as a space for family meetings. 

 

Therefore the space needs to accommodate privacy and independence to those that would live in the new house and still have public areas outside to continue being used as a meeting space.
